DISASTER!

FIRE - ON THE MORNING OF October 1,1974, Gordon W. Ross L.T.D. was destroyed by fire?

It is hard enough to meet schedules at times, without having your production equipment consumed! Now - to get back to printing . . . a real rough job for Gordon W. Ross L.T.D., production manager Mike Summers.

On Tuesday, November 19, 1974, Webex, Inc. sent an engineer to Montreal, Canada to inspect the fire damaged plant to determine if any of the drive components could be salvaged from the chill rolls. Because delivery was critical, this was very important, December 1974, Webex sent a 3-man crew to remove the necessary items - January 26, 1975, and the chill was completely finished and ready for shipment to Canada.

Overly, Inc. was given the go-ahead in the beginning of December, however, they were forced to procure all of the purchased components and fabricate a Type-3000E High Velocity Dryer from scratch - in time to ship with the chill section. Impossible? No, but it is not easy to engineer, build test and deliver a two pass dryer in two months. However, the wheels were set in motion. The dryer shipped the same day as the chill rolls!! Not only that, but a web was passed Thursday, May 27, 1975 - after only 71/2 hours required to test, balance and start the dryer. And, it ran perfectly!

This is cooperation at its best . . . MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY in dryer performance and customer service.

But - Please don't wait for a problem like this to try our service!!
